Response Project VIII - "Art Show Today"
A 1990 political cartoon from the Mapplethorpe Trial by Jim Borgman depicts an officer-involved drunk driving accident in one frame. In the other frame, a sign outside Cincinnati’s Contemporary Arts Center reads “Art Show Today.” Above the two frames is the question, “Guess which case the city prosecutor decided to pursue?”
Jim Borgman is an American cartoonist, known primarily for his political cartoons and nationally syndicated strip “Zits.” In 1991, he won a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning.
